While Tami and I enjoy tea and standard infusions regularly, what prompted us to start making Nourishing Herbal Infusions was daycare. The toddler immune system is delicate and when we put Niles into daycare, he was experiencing what seemed like a never-ending cycle of colds. As soon as one spell of runny nose and congestion would clear up, it started right back up again.
There are over 200 strains of viruses that can lead to colds; it seemed as if his body was determined to contract each one! We decided to be proactive by improving his immune response and implementing a preventative regime. We don't have to get sick, after all.
Hence, incorporating Nourishing Herbal Infusions into our weekly routine. The herbs used for these types of long infusions are vitamin and mineral rich and as a result the are adaptogenic, in that they are restorative, and help the body recover from external and internal stressors.
Here is the nutritional content of some of our favorite herbs to consume as Nourishing Herbal Infusions:
Instead of taking multivitamin pills or capsules, we drink our Nourishing Herbal Infusions. And not only do we get sick less often, especially Niles, we also feel a remarkable difference in our energy level, in our ability to focus, in our hair, skin and nails and in our overall ability to cope with stress.
So...take that daycare germs!
